Next MELT!!! RSVP & invite your dance buddies to Kizomba MELT! There is a fusion room and a silent micro room. Consent is sacred and connection is our mission. We want you here! Prices are suggested. No one turned away for lack of funds. Register here: https://www.meltdance.com/

CULTURE OF CARE:
Who We Serve:
This is an 18+, alcohol-free, consent-centric, LGBTQIA2S+ friendly, BIPOC friendly, social empathy event. Please be tolerant and kind to others in this space.
Consent Etiquette:
Incidents are very rare because of our culture and education. We welcome the intentions of anyone who wishes to tune into themselves and others in a container designed for relaxing, dancing, and pampering. Ask before touching anybody. Ask before close embrace. Ask before dips. Ask before cuddling, massage, hairplay, or anything else you don’t have verbal permission for. If you desire to do anything beyond dancing with anybody, you need to use your words. If you aren’t sure if something is permitted in the space, ask a staff member.
Vetting & Discomfort Policies:
We have a strong community because we vet people out of our events who need to work on their etiquette. MELT is open to first timers and adjusted as needed. We have a simple discomfort policy. Any person whose onsite behavior make others uncomfortable may be coached in a friendly way, notified, warned, or asked to leave (with a refund if they comply politely). Please tell a staff member if anyone’s onsite behavior feels uncomfortable to you so we can assess the situation. Repeated or serious conflicts from onsite behaviors may require classes, coaching, or therapy before re-entry is allowed. Thanks for keeping this a safer space!
Feedback Team:
MELT Dance promoter Daniel Oliver (he/him) cares about feedback. He sends out a feedback form to all attendees via text or email, and he has a feedback team set up who may assign classes, coaching, or counseling for any harms among our shared community, including any harms by the event team or by himself. Oliver’s personal feedback team includes:
– Jen Moss (she/her)
– Karin Edwards (she/her)
Covid Risk Awareness Notice:
– No masks required
– No cards required
– No tests required
– Reuseable credit to the end of the year if you stay home with symptoms
THE MELT DANCE METHOD:
Still reading? Want to know the method behind our madness? Our intention is creating a container for powerful, change-inspiring memories and resources.
1st – Setting up a caring container to bring our inner child and grown adult needs into balance with wonder, myth, and awe; challenge, adventure, and reward.
2nd – Upon that balance, building holistic human bonds with each other by facilitating a menu of meaningful offerings that transcend all five love languages.
3rd – Soaking those new bonding experiences into the body through all five bodily senses, thereby sealing them into the mind as vivid memories.
4th – Empowering the containers to have transformative meanings, as milestones in our lives, by encouraging self-reflection and self-work through a network of healers, coaches, and support buddies who regularly attend the events.
MELT is so much more than a dance.
MELT is a movement!
